Daniel James

Daniel James has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Daniel is currently employed at Netspend as a Senior Technical Product Manager. Prior to that, they worked at GradientD as a Consultant, where they successfully completed various independent software development projects and contracts. Daniel also founded and served as the President & Director of VoyagerFest, organizing live musical events and securing funds from the City of Austin.

In terms of technical roles, Daniel was a Lead Software Engineer at Tango Health, Inc. and a Chief Technology Officer at VisMed3D. At ServiceMesh, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and took on the responsibilities of designing UX aspects and leading the team for specific projects. Daniel also gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at BMC Software, contributing to the improvement of IT systems management products.

Daniel's earlier experience includes positions such as Software Engineering Manager at PointServe, where they achieved accurate predictions for electric load and led a team in solving the vehicle routing problem. Daniel also worked as a Research and Development Project Manager at Team Tech International, managing the development and deployment of interactive attendee software for events. Additionally, Daniel started their career as a Software Engineer at Nortel, designing and developing software for advanced telecommunications systems.

Throughout their career, Daniel has demonstrated adaptability, leadership, and creativity in driving successful software research and development projects in various domains. Daniel has received awards, holds patents, and is dedicated to providing optimal user experiences.

Daniel James attended The University of Texas at Austin from 1986 to 1994, where they obtained a B.A. degree in Computer Science & Philosophy. In March 2022, they also received certification as a Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc.
