Senior Vice President of Cyberspace Operations at Network Designs

Bill Turmel is the Senior Vice President of Cyberspace Operations at Network Designs. Bill has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, including stints with the U.S. Army Cyber Command and Unisys.

Turmel began their career in the U.S. Army, where they served for 10 years, rising to the rank of Director of Current Operations. In this role, they managed and directed the operations of the 24/7 Army Cyber Operations Integration Center, which is responsible for securing and defending all Army networks. Bill also coordinated the execution of DoD Information Network operations across six theaters of operation around the globe.

In 2015, Turmel left the Army to join Unisys, where they served as Senior Program Manager. In this role, they implemented enterprise management policy, application and system life cycle plans, and enforced information assurance and cybersecurity policy and directives across the global Army enterprise through subordinate operational organizations. Bill also provided detailed technical and operational advice to senior Army and Joint leaders on current Cyber operations relating to DODIN, Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), and Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO).

Turmel is a recognized expert in the field of IT security, and their work has been instrumental in protecting Army networks from cyber threats. Bill is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and holds a Master's degree in Information Systems from Georgetown University.

Bill Turmel has a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University and a Master's Degree in National Resource Strategy and Policy from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy.

They are on a team with Chao Wang - Senior Vice President of Technology, Carmen Marco - SVP of Digital Experience Services, and Greg Conran - Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer. Bill Turmel reports to Anthony E. Zeruto, President and CEO.
