Wayne Wilson

Wayne Wilson has a diverse work experience in the field of network engineering and technical training.

Wayne currently works at Network Designs, Inc. as a Network Engineer since February 2021.

Prior to that, Wayne worked at CACI International Inc for over 10 years. Wayne held various roles including Field Engineer (Subject Matter Expert), SGS Upgrade Operations Manager, SGS Upgrade Team, and Technical Trainer III. In these roles, Wayne was responsible for analyzing and designing networks, configuring and installing network infrastructures, providing support for servers and system integrations, upgrading and installing systems, supervising site deployments, traveling to various locations for upgrades, and developing and presenting complex training programs.

Wayne also worked at KINEX, Inc as a Field Service Technician II in 2010, where they administered patches, performed troubleshooting, and supported multiple sites.

Earlier in their career, they worked at ARSOBCTC as a Trainer/Technician from 2008 to 2009, where they trained and supported Special Operations units and developed simulations. Wayne also worked at Verizon and Verizon Business as a DTAC Engineer and Data Test Engineer respectively, where they conducted circuit testing, troubleshooting, and monitoring.

Wayne Wilson has a strong educational background in computer networking and information technology. Wayne obtained their Master of Science degree in Computer Networking from North Carolina State University, College of Engineering, Computer Science, from 2021 to 2026. Prior to their master's degree, Wayne completed their Bachelor of Science in Information and Computer Technology at East Carolina University from 2011 to 2020. During their time at East Carolina University, they also pursued a minor in Industrial Technology Management. Wayne further enhanced their skills by earning an Associates degree in Information Systems with a focus on Network Administration and Support from Fayetteville Technical Community College from 2004 to 2007.

Alongside their formal education, Wayne obtained several certifications that add to their expertise. Wayne earned the Security+ certification from CompTIA in January 2006, the Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft in January 2005, the CCNA Security certification from Cisco in April 2018, and the CCNP Routing and Switching certification from Cisco in July 2017.
