Ian Sexton

Ian Sexton has a diverse range of work experience. Ian worked as a Desktop Support Engineer at Network Optix starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were the Founder and Consultant at TechVert IT Consulting from 2021 to 2023, where they provided IT services to businesses and organizations, served as a project manager for a large security overhaul project, and offered tier 2 troubleshooting services. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as an Information Technology Manager at STEM Preparatory Schools, overseeing technology initiatives, improving ticket response times, and implementing a new asset management system. Ian also worked as a Client Systems Engineer at Epic from 2019 to 2020, supporting healthcare organizations and serving as an Epic software subject matter expert. Before that, they were the ITS Lead Computer Consultant at Middlebury College from 2015 to 2019, managing a team of consultants and improving training curriculum. In 2018, Ian served as a Management & Digital Consulting Intern at ICF Next, gaining experience in communications strategy and organizational design. Additionally, they participated in Middlebury College's MiddCORE program in 2016, consulting for Blaze Pizza and winning an innovation challenge. Ian also had an internship at Chico's FAS, Inc. in 2014, where they worked in the E-commerce department managing websites and pages.

Ian Sexton attended Middlebury College from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Quantitative Economics and Data Analysis. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2015, they attended Microsoft's Academy for Technology Excellence and earned 34 IT certifications in the field of Computer Science. Additionally, Ian has obtained multiple certifications such as Project Management Foundations, Communication Foundations, and Consulting Foundations from Lynda.com in July 2018. In the same year, they also obtained certifications in Design Thinking, Learning Brainstorming, Learning Design Research, Design Thinking: Prototyping, and various other courses. Ian obtained the frog's FEMA Disaster Relief Innovation certification from Lynda.com in June 2018.
