John Hyde

John Hyde is an experienced engineering professional with a career spanning over four decades in the rail industry. Currently serving as Programme Engineering Manager for Conventional Plain Line Track Renewals at Network Rail since April 2005, John has previously held multiple managerial roles within Network Rail, including Programme Engineering Manager for various track renewals. Prior to that, John spent a decade at Balfour Beatty Rail, where responsibilities included Business Improvement Manager and Regional Operations Manager across different routes. John’s early career at British Rail involved progressive roles from Technical Officer to Permanent Way Renewals Manager on the East Coast.
