Derek Howard

Derek Howard is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in network management and automation. From October 2004 to November 2024, Derek served in the US Army in various roles, culminating as a Network Management Technician, and contributed significantly to global communication infrastructure as a Senior Technical Advisor for the Joint Communications Unit. Derek's recent experience includes working as a Managing Consultant at Network to Code and a Senior Consultant in Network Automation, during which contributions included the development of an Open Source Floor Plan app for Nautobot and winning first place at a hackathon. Prior to military service, Derek worked as a Production Mechanic at OSRAM. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Information Technology with a concentration in Software Application Development from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Franklin University.
