Timothy Fiola

Timothy Fiola has a diverse work experience in the field of network engineering and automation. Timothy is currently working as a Solutions Architect at Network to Code, where they started in January 2022. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Developer Advocate at the same company from March 2021 to January 2022.

Before joining Network to Code, Timothy worked at Nokia as a Consulting Sales Engineer for Network Orchestration and Automation from October 2020 to March 2021.

Timothy also has experience working at Juniper Networks, where they held multiple roles. Timothy was an Automation-Focused Resident Engineer from November 2018 to October 2020 and a Senior Systems Engineer from March 2017 to October 2018.

At Microsoft, Timothy worked as an Automation Support Type Guy from February 2016 to March 2017.

Prior to that, they were employed at Cariden Technologies, which was acquired by Cisco Systems. Here, they worked as a Backbone Network Sales Engineer from October 2011 to February 2016, providing technical assistance to customers and serving as a liaison between Engineering and Account Management.

Timothy'searlier experience includes working as a Professional Services Engineer at Juniper Networks from April 2008 to October 2011, specializing in network architecture and design, particularly in JUNOS automation, OSPF, ISIS, RSVP, and MPLS services. Timothy also worked at Level 3 Communications, where they served as an IP Tier 3 Engineer from November 2007 to April 2008, and in various other roles such as IP Test Lab Engineer, IP Customer Repair Group Technical Lead, and Transport Deployment/Planning.

Timothy's work journey began in the US Army, where they served as an Officer (Captain, O-3) from May 1995 to May 1999.

Timothy Fiola holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Physics from the University of Colorado Boulder. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in Introduction to Data Science from LinkedIn in October 2020.
