Walter Piper

Walter Piper, Ph.D., serves as a Senior Research Engineer at Neurable since August 2021, previously holding the role of Research Engineer. Prior experience includes a Data Science Fellow position at Springboard, where skills in Python, SQL, and machine learning were sharpened. Walter completed a PhD in Neural Science at New York University, focusing on the temporal dynamics of the amygdalar norepinephrine during Pavlovian threat conditioning. Walter’s career also encompasses several teaching and research roles at Oregon State University, contributing to the understanding of prosocial emotions and overseeing undergraduate research projects. Educational qualifications include a BA in Biochemistry and Biophysics, an MA in Interdisciplinary Psychology and Human Development/Family Science, and a PhD in Neural Science.
