James Gerity

James Gerity has over 10 years of work experience. James started their career in 2008 as an IT Administrator at Leonard Paper Company & Repair Division, where they managed AIX, Red Hat, and Windows servers, and wrote custom scripts and software modifications for automation and user access to sales systems, as well as reports generated from sales and shipping data. In 2011, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M University. In 2019, they joined Neurala as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for rapid development and deployment of Flask servers to provide customers with REST APIs for interacting with in-house inference engines. James also rewrote the pipeline for generation of Python bindings for a C++11 product using SWIG, executed in a way that provides Python users with an API that promotes idiomatic usage without degrading performance.

James Gerity completed their Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Maryland Baltimore County between 2007 and 2011. James then went on to attend Texas A&M University from 2011 to 2017 for a degree in Physics.
