Renata B.

Renata B. has had a varied work experience, beginning with a Summer Research Fellow at the Center on Privacy and Technology at Georgetown University Law Center in 2018. Renata then took on the role of Fairness in Machine Learning Intern at Twitter and VP of Ethics and Regulation at Faucetworks, both in 2018. In 2019, they held the role of Visiting Researcher at Facebook, before taking on the role of Data Science Fellow at D-Lab, UC Berkeley in 2020. Most recently, Renata was appointed Research Scientist at Spotify in 2022.

Renata B. began their educational journey in 2009 when they attended Reed College and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics in 2013. In 2015, they began a Ph.D. in Computational Social Science at the University of California, Berkeley, which they are expected to complete in 2022. In 2019, Renata B. began a Doctor of Law - JD in Technology Law at the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
