Yan Kang is the Vice President and General Manager of the Clinical Application Business Unit at Neusoft Medical Systems, where they develop clinical application solutions oriented to important diseases. Yan has also served as the Chief Knowledge Officer of the Medical IT Division at Neusoft since 2011 and as the Director of the Institute of HealthCare Research at Neusoft Xikang since 2012, focusing on long-term strategy. Previously, Yan was a professor and the dean of the BMIE School at Northeastern University, China, from 2007 to 2014, and held various roles in medical IT and research, including as Chief Technology Officer at Neusoft Group. Yan earned their Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor's in Information Technology from Xi'an Jiaotong University, along with a Ph.D. in Medical Physics and a post-doctorate in Computer Assisted Surgery from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and Stanford University School of Medicine, respectively.
