Mark Gerrits

Mark Gerrits is a technology leader with over 18 years of software development experience, primarily in a Microsoft-oriented environment (C#, SQL Server, etc.). They are the CTO of New Black BV and a Technology Evangelist at Just Me, holding these positions since 2015. Their background includes delivering solutions ranging from small, quick apps to large retail automation and warehouse management systems, and they have more than four years of experience setting up and maintaining mid-sized to large deployments on Windows and Linux, working with HAProxy, Redis, SQL Server, and SOLR/Elastic Search. They are pursuing container technologies and are learning Docker, Kubernetes, and Ceph. They studied at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (1998-1999) and De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences (2000-2001).
