Matt Wakelin

Matt Wakelin is an accomplished professional in the forestry and wood products industry, currently serving as President and Executive Council Member at NZ Forest Owners Association since April 2021. As Portfolio Manager for ANZFF3 at New Forests since October 2019, Matt has leveraged extensive experience in supply chain management. Previous roles include Manager of Fibre Supply at CHH Woodproducts, where responsibilities included log supply and residue sales management, and Regional Manager at C3, focusing on port supply chain management for forestry log exports. Additionally, Matt held the position of SE Queensland Supply Chain Manager at Forestry Plantations Queensland. With a Bachelor's degree in Forestry Science from the University of Canterbury and leadership training from the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, Matt Wakelin brings a wealth of expertise to the sector.
