Ashwin Patel

Ashwin Patel is a seasoned mental performance consultant with extensive experience in sports psychology and education. Currently serving as a mental performance consultant for the New Jersey Devils and the Saint John Sea Dogs, Patel has previously held similar roles with teams such as the Guelph Storm Hockey Club and Hockey Canada, where contributions included mental conditioning workshops for national teams. As a program coordinator and professor at Humber Polytechnic since 2014, Patel oversees the Recreation and Leisure Services program and first-year Sport Management courses. Additionally, Patel's academic background includes a Ph.D. and MS in Sport Psychology from the University of Tennessee, complemented by a BA in Psychology and History from the University of Guelph. Professional experience spans teaching, curriculum development, and student advising at multiple academic institutions.
