New Nomad Institute is a research and action oriented institute dedicated to revitalizing the enduring knowledge of nomadic societies and applying those insights to address the global metacrisis.

We operate under three pillars to achieve our mission: 

1. Research: Conducting high-quality, interdisciplinary research will be central to the New Nomad Institute’s work. Our research will inform our educational and narrative pillars, while also evolving through insights gathered from these initiatives. We aim to actively collaborate with leading researchers, historians, policymakers in Mongolia and around the world.
2. Education: We see education as a driver of lasting, profound change. Our long-term vision is to create a nomadic boarding school that moves across Mongolia and internationally. The program will integrate indigenous cultural knowledge with academic rigor, offering a liberal arts education grounded in movement, face-to-face connection, and profound reverence for nature.
3. Narrative: We seek to collaborate with leading artists, filmmakers, architects, designers, and creators from all walks of life to show why nomadic culture offers vital insights for addressing today’s most pressing global challenges.
