New Tradition is a multidisciplinary architecture and interior design studio based in Amsterdam, founded by designer Rianne Toonen and architect Juriaan Calis. Our strength lies within finding the right balance between interiors and exteriors, between working with traditional crafts and innovative solutions ánd between the new and the traditional within all our designs. For both contemporary designs as monumental renovations, we are always optimizing the perfect balance by focusing on functionality, aesthetics and sustainability.

We guide our business and private customers through the whole design process – from the creation to the realization of their dream architecture and interior design – whereby we aim to exceed expectations. We start by creating sketches from every single space, and step by step we work out every single detail until reaching the final design – presented, among other things, in detailed drawings and realistic 3D artist impressions.

Furthermore, New Tradition coordinates the necessary permits at the local municipality, arranges and explains quotations from contractors and suppliers, assists and inspects the construction work, and guides their customers all the way to the final delivery. In collaboration with our loyal network of contractors and specialists we deliver every new build or renovation project with utmost care and precision.
