Jim Pickles

Jim Pickles is an experienced professional in innovation, growth, and international trade, currently serving as the Innovation & Growth Specialist Team Manager at Innovate UK London since October 2021. In this role, Jim leads a team that supports innovative SME businesses in various sectors, providing tailored advice, funding access, and internationalisation assistance. Previously, Jim held positions at Newable as an International Trade Adviser, Innovation & Growth Specialist, and Team Leader, alongside serving as Trade Sector Team Manager and International Trade Advisor at the Department for International Trade, where responsibilities included managing export strategies for the fashion and retail sectors. Jim founded and managed a premium menswear brand, D.S.DUNDEE, and has a background in corporate banking and English language education. Jim holds a B.Sc in Social Sciences from The University of Edinburgh.
