Rita DeMerit is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in operations, event management, and customer experience. Currently serving as the Vice President of Operations at NEWaukee since January 2014, Rita has successfully managed significant community events such as YPWeek 2014, collaborating with over 50 community partners to execute 32 events across Milwaukee. Previous roles include Customer Experience Lead at Rivet and Junior Account Coordinator at Spreenkler Creative, where Rita facilitated communication between clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality projects. Rita's early career includes positions in sales operations at the UWM Bookstore and an internship in marketing and special events at Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, where Rita gained hands-on experience in event planning and execution. Rita holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
