Donal O'Connor

Donal O'Connor is an experienced finance professional with a solid background in impairment strategy and financial analysis. Currently serving as Head of Impairment Strategy at NewDay since April 2016, O'Connor previously held the position of Group Loan Controller at The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited from August 2014 to February 2016, where management of the loan portfolio's financial analysis and reporting occurred. Prior to that, O'Connor worked as a Decision Support/Financial Forecasting and Reporting Manager at KBC Bank & Verzekering, contributing significantly to the Asset Quality Review required by the European Commission. Early career experience includes roles at Macquarie Group as an Executive and as an Audit Senior at RSM Ireland. O'Connor earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from University College of Dublin between 1998 and 2001 and completed secondary education at St Patricks Secondary School.
