Eric Peterson has over 10 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity. Eric is currently the Director of Cybersecurity Operations at New Era Technology, where they oversee SOC operations and manages a global team. Prior to this, Eric was the Director of Security Operations at Secuvant, where they led the Security Operations Center and managed operational projects. Eric has also worked as a Senior Security Analyst at NICE inContact and a Senior Information Security Engineer at Wells Fargo, where they supervised firewalls and implemented security solutions. Eric's experience also includes roles as a Senior Information Technology Administrator at EchoStar Corporation, a Senior Technical Support & Network Engineer at Oracle, a Senior Security/Technical Support Engineer at Central Logic, and a Tier 2 Supervisor & Escalation Manager at R Systems Solutions. Throughout their career, Eric has demonstrated expertise in incident response, threat hunting, SIEM management, and network security. Eric has a track record of effectively managing diverse teams and driving professional development.

Eric Peterson obtained a Master's Degree in M.S. Information Technology—Security and Assurance from Western Governors University in 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in B.S. Information Technology—Security from the same university in 2015. Additionally, Eric has acquired multiple certifications, including the Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA), Certified In Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Secureworks Taegis XDR Certified Analyst, Cisco Certified Network Associate Cyber Ops (CCNA Cyber Ops), Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA Routing and Switching), Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
