David Hatkoff

David Hatkoff is the Executive Director of NewFest, New York's leading LGBTQ+ film and media organization, a position held since 2019. Under David's leadership, NewFest has become the largest LGBTQ+ film festival in the United States, expanding its budget and staff dramatically while launching initiatives like the Black Filmmakers Initiative and the New Voices Filmmaker Grant in partnership with Netflix. Prior to this role, David served as the Director of Marketing and Audience Services at Signature Theatre Company, contributing significantly to its expansion and transition to a new venue. David studied LGBTQ Studies at New York University and American Studies and Drama at Tufts University.
