Anna Stein is an accomplished art curator with significant experience in both curatorial and educational roles. Currently serving as Associate Curator of Works on Paper at Newfields since July 2015, Anna has played a key role in major exhibitions, including their collaboration on "Edward Hopper and the American Hotel" and the curation of several collections exhibitions such as "Journey into Light: Travels with JMW Turner" and "Illegible." Prior to this, Anna was a Research Associate at the Detroit Institute of Arts, where responsibilities included organizing and interpreting sources for large exhibitions. Anna also has teaching experience as an Adjunct Professor at Oakland Community College and has held various roles across organizations, including the Palmer Museum of Art and Penn State. Anna holds a Master of Arts in Art History from Penn State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Visual Culture from Michigan State University.
