Le Monte Booker

Le Monte Booker is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Newfields, a 152-acre cultural arts institution focused on art and nature experiences. They oversee all aspects of the mission, strategic planning and execution for Newfields, which welcomes more than 600,000 guests annually, operates a $40 million budget, and employs more than 350 staff. From 2015 to 2024, they were Chief Financial Officer of The Field Museum, and served as Interim President & Chief Executive Officer in 2020. Their prior roles in the not-for-profit sector include Chief Financial Officer at Easter Seals Inc. (2010–2015), Chief Financial Officer at UCAN (1993–2006), and Director, Department of Finance / Chief Financial Officer at the American Academy of Pediatrics (2006–2010). They are pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Business/Management at DePaul University.
