Hamish Howard

Hamish Howard has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Hamish most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at NewFish since February 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of General Manager at NewFish from October 2020 to January 2023. Hamish also worked as an Analyst at Howard & Company Ltd from January 2018 to September 2020. In 2017, they were a Field Ranger on a fixed-term basis at Zero Invasive Predators (ZIP). From September 2013 to March 2017, Hamish held the position of General Manager at Guyton Fisheries Limited. Hamish started their career as a Trainee Manager at Talley's Group Limited from July 2011 to August 2013. Hamish also gained experience as an Administrator at F.V. Janas - New Zealand Longline Limited from November 2011 to March 2012, and as a Deckhand at F.V. Amaltal Enterprise - Talley's Group Limited from September 2009 to June 2011. Hamish began their professional journey as an Administrative Assistant at Quinovic Property Management from May 2008 to July 2009.

Hamish Howard has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Marine Biology, Ecology & Biodiversity, which they obtained from Victoria University of Wellington in 2009. Hamish later pursued further education at the same institution and completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Science in Society in the years spanning 2018 to 2020.
