Eric Birir

Eric Birir has a strong work experience spanning over several years. Eric started their career at Gerdau Long Steel North America as a Rolling Mill Engineer in Training from May 2004 to October 2006. After that, they joined New Flyer in October 2006 and held various roles, including Manufacturing Engineer EIT, Facilities Engineering Team Lead, Facilities Engineering Manager, Director of Facilities Engineering, Process Planning, Tool & Die, and most recently as the Director of Manufacturing Engineering and Lean Enterprise.

Eric Birir earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba between 2002 and 2006. Eric then pursued a Masters Certificate in Project Management from the Schulich School of Business at York University in 2017-2018. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Professional Engineer from the Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba.
