Irma Munoz

Chief Schools Officer

Irma Munoz is a seasoned educational leader with extensive experience in managing and optimizing operations within various organizations. Currently serving as the Chief Schools Officer at NewGlobe since January 2022, Irma oversees the performance of nearly 6000 schools across Africa and Southeast Asia, focusing on strategic planning, training, and technology implementation. Co-founding and directing the FOX Fellowship Program since November 2021, Irma has designed a pioneering professional development initiative for new COOs and CFOs in education. Previously, Irma held prominent roles at IDEA Public Schools as Chief Operating Officer and Chief People Officer, driving organizational growth and efficiency across a network of 139 schools. Additionally, Irma has experience as Program Manager at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Managing Director at General Motors, as well as a background in project management at Fannie Mae. Irma holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis.
