Shannon May

Shannon May is a seasoned professional with a strong background in education, sustainable development, and business strategy. As the Co-Founder and President of NewGlobe Education since July 2008, Shannon has played a pivotal role in transforming educational access in underserved communities. Prior experience includes serving as a Researcher and Advisor at Urbanization and Sustainable Development Research and Advising, where Shannon conducted in-depth research on urbanization and ecological design, and advising prominent architecture firms. Additionally, Shannon co-founded Bridge International Academies as the Chief Strategy and Development Officer, providing strategic vision and expertise in the private schooling sector. Earlier career experiences include business development at Hachette Filipacchi New Media and financial analysis at Morgan Stanley. Shannon holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, and an AB in Social Studies from Harvard University.
