Aaron Swerdlin

Aaron Swerdlin is a seasoned real estate professional with extensive experience in the self storage sector. Currently serving as Vice Chairman at Newmark since May 2013, Swerdlin leads the national practice for self storage properties, driving development strategies and production for the practice group. Prior to this role, Swerdlin held key positions including Senior Managing Director at HFF, where leadership of the self storage platform was maintained, and Senior Managing Director and Managing Partner at Storage Investment Advisors, LLP, a firm dedicated solely to the self storage industry. Swerdlin also founded CBRE's Self Storage Advisory Group during tenure as Senior Vice President at CB Richard Ellis, Inc., and served as Director of Acquisitions at Storage Trust Realty, where acquisitions were managed for significant operational regions. The career began with foundational roles in boutique firms, emphasizing a strong commitment to the self storage market.
