Annie Kwan

Annie Kwan currently serves as Assistant General Counsel at Newmark, a position held since July 2025. Previously, Kwan was Senior Legal Counsel at CBRE from May 2020 to July 2025 and a Finance Attorney at Latham & Watkins from January 2017 to May 2020. Kwan began a legal career as an Energy Attorney at Haynes and Boone, LLP, working from October 2013 to January 2017, and gained experience as a Student Immigration Attorney at the University of Houston Law Center Immigration Clinic in 2012. Early professional experience includes a summer internship at the Internal Revenue Service and a judicial internship with Honorable Gray H. Miller. Kwan's initial roles included positions at the Fort Bend District Attorney Office and Magnum Forge, where data integration and risk advisory were key responsibilities, along with a brief stint at Ernst & Young focused on financial risk assurance. Kwan holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center and dual degrees in Finance and Sociology from The University of Texas at Austin, complemented by study abroad experience at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
