Dean Zander

Dean Zander is the Vice Chairman at NEWMARK, having joined the firm in July 2024 after over 25 years at CBRE and Berkadia. They were a Senior Managing Director at Berkadia from 1999 to 2017, where they played a key role in seller representation in the marketing and sale of apartment buildings, achieving over $4 billion in career sales. Zander co-founded Darro/Zander & Company, an apartment building brokerage, land assemblage, and management company, from 1988 to 1994, and was a partner at Sperry Van Ness from 1994 to 1999. Zander has consistently been recognized among the top brokers in California both regionally and nationally since 1999. They are currently pursuing a degree in Math and Economics at UCLA.
