Matt Armstrong

Matt Armstrong is a seasoned professional in the commercial real estate sector, currently serving as the Senior Managing Director for Capital Markets at Newmark since January 2023. Previously, Armstrong held the role of President at Gordon Group Holdings from September 2009 to December 2022, where the firm was recognized for its innovative and award-winning developments. Earlier experience includes positions as Executive Vice President and Senior Vice President of Property Development at Morgans Hotel Group, leading notable projects such as Delano Miami and Mondrian Los Angeles, as well as serving as Senior Vice President of Development at Liberty Media, contributing to a large-scale roll-up of media and entertainment services. Armstrong holds a Master of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Lawrence University.
