Michael Lehrman

President, United Kingdom at Newmark

As President of the United Kingdom for Newmark, Michael Lehrman oversees all business lines in the UK including BH2, Harper Dennis Hobbs, and Knotel. Lehrman is also the Head of the firms Debt Financing Advisory practice in the UK.

Lehrman joined Cantor Fitzgerald in 2009 as Global Head of Real Estate and in 2010 as CEO of BGC Real Estate, a Cantor affiliate that acquired Newmark. In addition to the acquisition of Newmark in 2011, Lehrman served as Executive Vice Chairman of Newmark and participated in numerous acquisitions for Newmark including Grubb & Ellis, Cornish & Carey and ARA.

In 2010, Lehrman co-founded CCRE (Cantor Commercial Real Estate), which completed over $50 billion in debt financing transactions. In 2016, he co-founded and served as Vice Chairman of Cantor Fitzgerald Investors and as Head of Cantor Fitzgerald Capital, participating in the launch of over 30 Non-Traded Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs), and Opportunity Zone Fund Trusts.

Prior to CCRE, Lehrman was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse and Co-Head of the Credit Suisse Real Estate Direct Group where he and his team were responsible for more than $200 billion in real estate loan origination.
