Sam Lawhead is the Managing Director of Newmark’s Pacific Northwest Capital Markets team in Portland, where they focus on multifamily investment sales, recapitalizations, and institutional advisory services. Having joined Newmark during the ARA acquisition, they bring over 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, facilitating transactions totaling over $2.7 billion and more than 10,000 units. Sam was recognized as a Costar Power Broker in both 2017 and 2021. Their prior experience includes roles in acquisitions and property management at various firms, as well as serving as an English as a Second Language instructor. Sam is currently pursuing both a Master of Business Administration at Portland State University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Montana.
