Stephen Smigel

Stephen Smigel serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Managing Director of Newmark Securities since May 2019. With extensive experience in financial services, Stephen held leadership roles at MUFG Securities as Head of LATAM Sales, Trading and Research (2013-2018), RBS as Managing Director and Head of Emerging Market Credit Trading (2010-2013), and Credit Suisse in Credit Trading (1997-2009). Earlier in his career, Stephen worked as an Analyst in Restructuring/High Yield at Alex. Brown & Sons (1993-1995). Stephen Smigel earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School, following a high school diploma from Horace Mann School.
