Who We Are

Newport Technical Services provides exceptional engineering, drafting and project management services to the Newcastle, Greater Hunter and Central Coast Regions.

Directors Julian Johnson (Civil and Structural), Tim Parker (Mechanical) and Lee Hughes (Manufacturing and Management) each bring over 20 years of engineering experience to Newport’s core team of engineers and draftsmen.

Operating since 2008, our high retention rate of employees ensures we build long-term relationships with all of our clients.

Small Firm, Big Clients

You’ve possibly never heard of us …

But, we’ve been delivering engineering and project management resources at one of the world’s largest coal terminals for the past decade.

From ASX200 clients to multinationals, from local councils to smaller companies (just like us) we consistently prove to our clients that when it comes to engineering consultants, bigger does not equal better.

How We’re Different

At Newport, it’s all about the relationships.

We take the time to understand your business needs and provide a fit-for-purpose quality solution.

Our clients appreciate that we can work with all disciplines – from fitters and operators, to project managers and CEOs – to deliver the best solution.

We have a business proudly built by word-of-mouth based on our ability to deliver value to each client.

Think Local…
We’re proud Novocastrians supporting local businesses.

From our office in Wickham, we can be at your site around the Newcastle port in 20 minutes and up the Valley or down the Coast in an hour.

And we practice what we preach – we work with local companies for supplementary engineering services, fabrication, materials supply, recruitment, IT services and accounting.
