John Gardiner

John Gardiner has a diverse work experience in the field of database infrastructure and site reliability engineering. Currently, they are the Senior Director of Database Infrastructure and Site Reliability Engineering at NewRez LLC, where they have improved customer experience by scaling database systems and formed a Reliability Engineering team. Prior to that, they worked at Fiserv as the Director of Database Services, where they were responsible for global database services and managed a diverse team across multiple locations. John also has experience as a Sr. Manager of Database Services at Amtrak and as an IT Transformation Leader at General Motors, providing worldwide support for data centers and setting up operational teams. Earlier in their career, they worked at The Home Depot as a Sr. Manager of Database Platform Engineering, at Tyson Foods as a Sr. DBA, and at Wal-Mart as a Senior Engineer, where they held leadership roles in database administration and engineering. Overall, John Gardiner has a strong background in managing database infrastructure and driving business execution.

John Gardiner has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Economics, and CIS from Utah State University - Jon M. Huntsman School of Business. John also holds an MBA with a focus on Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. In addition to their degrees, John has obtained several certifications, including the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2022 Certified Foundations Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations 2020 Certified Associate, Security Clearance - 6C, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, and IT Information Library Foundations (ITIL).
