Mark McArdle

Mark McArdle is an experienced professional in regulatory affairs and public policy, currently serving as SVP at Newrez LLC since March 2025, where responsibilities include leading regulatory affairs and stakeholder engagement for a major lender and servicer. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Director of Mortgage Markets at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from July 2017 to February 2025, overseeing regulatory activities and key initiatives related to mortgage markets. Additionally, McArdle held multiple roles at the U.S. Department of the Treasury from July 2009 to January 2017, including Deputy Assistant Secretary, where contributions were made to housing policy and mortgage finance. Earlier in the career, McArdle worked as a Senior Research Analyst at the National Urban League, focusing on housing policy and subprime lending issues affecting low-income and minority communities. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts/Psychology from the University of Chicago.
