Mandie Begin

Mandie Begin is an experienced human resources executive currently serving as Vice President, People at Newsela since September 2025. Previously, Mandie held the position of Vice President of Operations & HR at Bushel from July 2021 to September 2025, where responsibilities included overseeing operational and human resource functions and providing strategic leadership during critical organizational transitions. Mandie has also served as Vice President of Human Resources at Forum Communications Co., focusing on HR development during the company's digital transition. Earlier experience includes roles at Corelink Administrative Solutions, Bobcat Company, MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure, American Crystal Sugar Company, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, where Mandie contributed to various HR initiatives and benefits administration. Mandie holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from North Dakota State University.
