Mark Simpson is an experienced media professional currently serving as Deputy Managing Editor and Senior Editor at Newstalk since March 2004, overseeing the editorial management of several daily and weekend radio programs. Mark has played a key role in producing the nine-part podcast series 'As I Remember It: Bertie Ahern & The Good Friday Agreement,' bringing together prominent figures from the peace negotiations. Additionally, Mark has held various editorial and production roles, including Programme Editor for The Hard Shoulder, Senior Producer for The Right Hook, and has contributed to several radio programs in Australia as a freelance producer. Mark is also involved in academia as an external examiner at Griffith College Dublin and serves as a judge for the IMRO Radio Awards. Mark holds a Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Media Communications from Griffith College Dublin and a Bachelor's degree in History & Politics from University College Dublin.
