NEWSUBSTANCE is an award-winning UK based creative studio that imagine, design, build and perform for the global arts & entertainment industry. We have over 20 years’ experience of creating brave and ambitious projects and installations across the world.

We occupy a space where design meets drama, yielding creativity to challenge, engage and amaze its audience across global ceremonies, creative installations, festivals and theatre. From bespoke commissions, to creative direction or pure fabrication, we build from a strong performance point of view and engineering perspective, propelled by the principle that every aspect of our work has to perform.  

We take a strategic approach to our thinking, whether we are taking a lead on creative or collaborating with multiple stakeholders to realise a vision. As a studio that offers ideation, design, fabrication and installation, our team prides itself in always pushing the limits of creative and technological innovation.
