The Newtown Library Company, the oldest continually operating subscription-based library in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, is a 501 (c)(3) private non-profit that is run almost entirely by volunteers and is not affiliated with the local branch system. As such, the library relies solely on membership fees, donations and sponsorships for support. The historic library offers many programs and community events, as well as Ebooks and AudioBooks for its members. Major Fundraising Events include February's Booklover's Party and October's 5K Race for Reading. Special regular programs include Children's Weekly Storytime and Poetry Nights. The Library operates with oversight by a Volunteer Board of Directors.
