Kamran Idrees

Kamran serves as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Nexamp, based in the company’s Chicago office. Overseeing all legal affairs for Nexamp, Kamran is also responsible for developing and implementing corporate legal and compliance policies. He counsels the company on a wide range of transactions, including equity and debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, project development and other commercial and corporate transactions.

Kamran joined Nexamp after serving as Assistant General Counsel for SunEdison, where he handled project finance transactions in the utility, C&I and residential solar sectors. Prior to SunEdison, Kamran was an Associate in the Project Finance group at Chadbourne & Parke LLP (now Norton Rose Fulbright). He has represented financial institutions, lenders and developers in complex finance transactions across a variety of renewable energy technologies.

Kamran holds a B.A. in Economics from Boston University and a J.D. and LL.M in Taxation from Loyola University Chicago’s School of Law.
