Christian Simon

Vice President Supply Chain, Industry Market Line at Nexans

Christian Simon has a diverse work experience in various industries. Christian started their career in 1989 as the Low Voltage Energy Division Responsible at Les Cableries de Lens. From 1992 to 1996, they served as the Plant Manager and Metallurgy Business Manager at Les Câbleries de Lens, where they oversaw the production of overhead conductors and low voltage aerial bundled cables.

In 1996, Christian joined Alstom Gas Turbines as the Components Department Manager, where they managed a turnover of 1 billion FF and 500 employees. Christian'smain responsibilities included industrializing and producing components for heavy-duty gas turbines.

From 2000 to 2005, Christian worked as the CEO of Opticable, a subsidiary of Alcatel Cable group, where they focused on the development, sales, and production of fiber optic cables for long-distance telecommunications networks.

In 2005, Christian joined Nexans and held various roles within the company. Christian started as the Industrial Projects Business Manager and Mehun Plant Manager, responsible for a business unit with a turnover of 132M€ and 260 employees. Later on, they became the Vice President Supply Chain, Industry Market Line, where they built a new operational supply chain between sales segments and European production units.

Throughout their career, Christian has demonstrated strong leadership and project management skills, successfully streamlining industrial capacity, developing and implementing supply chain strategies, and driving business growth.

From 1979 to 1982, Christian Simon attended Arts et Métiers ParisTech - École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers. No degree or field of study was specified.
