Simon Mears

Simon Mears is an experienced QHSE Manager with a current position at Nexans, overseeing Subsea & Land Systems in the UK and Ireland since April 2016. Previous roles include Project SHEQ Manager for the Western Link HVDC Cable project at Prysmian, where responsibilities involved significant electricity transmission initiatives, and SHEQ Manager for Prysmian's HV Cable Installation Division. With a background in project management for high voltage installations and extensive experience in IT management across several companies, including Echo Research and Aeromatic Fielder, Simon holds a BSc (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southampton. Simon's career spans more than four decades, beginning with project management at Pirelli Cables.
