Tim Oliver evaluates each new healthcare development opportunity for NexCore Group. He focuses on understanding the hospital’s strategic and business plans to help the NexCore team design a facility that will be successful for both the hospital and physicians. He is also involved in conducting demand and feasibility analyses early in the project and meeting with key independent physician groups at the onset of the leasing process.
Tim has been active in the world of healthcare for over 40 years, developing his first on-campus medical office building in 1974. Over the years, he has consulted on or developed facilities for many of the major health systems across the country, including Ascension Health, Catholic Health Initiatives, Catholic Healthcare West (now Dignity Health), Centura Health, Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System, Providence Health & Services, Sutter Health, Trinity Health, and UNC Rex Healthcare. During his career, Tim has played a significant role in the completion of 90 healthcare facilities, including medical office buildings, ambulatory care centers, medical fitness centers, pediatric medical centers, and a behavioral health center.
In 2016, Tim was awarded the HREI Insights Lifetime Achievement Award. The Lifetime Achievement Award is the capstone of the HREI Insights Awards™ and seeks to honor an individual who has provided superior leadership and has made extraordinary contributions to the healthcare real estate sector. He has been a pioneer and innovator over a 40-year period and continues to be a national thought leader in the evolving healthcare real estate industry.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from California State College. He is currently a member of BOMA and the Medical Fitness Association.
