Chiara P.

Chiara P. began their career in 2004 as an Intern Laboratory Researcher at De Nora S.r.l., completing their Bachelor degree and researching the preparation and testing of electrodic structures (MEA) working at middle temperatures (100-180 °C) to use in fuel cells with polymeric electrolyte (PEMFC). In 2007, they joined Renault as a Master Thesis Intern, researching the management of high energy and high power lithium ion batteries and their effects of ageing. That same year, they joined Volkswagen AG as a Junior Researcher and Intern PhD Student, researching topics such as new anode materials for next-generation Li-ion batteries, high safety batteries with Polymer and Solid Electrolyte for next generation electric vehicle applications and Lithium-Sulfur systems. In 2016, they joined Nexeon Ltd as a Senior Lead Project Manager, and later as a Lead Project Manager and Research Scientist. In their roles, they were responsible for leading a team across different departments, ranging from material synthesis to material analytical and electrochemical characterisation. Chiara also developed core skills and attitudes such as project management and planning, team coordination and cooperation, problem solving, resource management and risk analysis.

Chiara P. began their educational journey in 2001 when they enrolled in the Bachelor Studies program at Università degli Studi di Roma 'La Sapienza' (Rome, Italy) in the field of Physical Chemistry, Materials and Energy Resources. Chiara graduated in 2005 and moved to Université de Picardie Jules Verne (Amiens, France) to pursue a European Master Course in Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion. After two years, they relocated to Westfälische Wilhelms University of Münster - Institute of Physical Chemistry (Muenster, Germany) where they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Inorganic Chemistry in 2012. In 2014, they attended SDA Bocconi School of Management for a course in Project Management.
