James Chambers has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. James started their career as a Registered Nurse at Saint Joseph's Hospital in 1994, where they worked until 1997. James then moved to Olsten Flying Nurses in 1997 to continue their role as a Registered Nurse. In 1999, they joined the University of Rochester Medical Center as a Registered Nurse, and later transitioned to the position of Nurse Manager in 2007. In 2013, they became an Applications Coordinator for the Anesthesia EPIC application at the University of Rochester Medical Center. From 2015 to 2019, they served as the Senior Nurse Manager at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where they managed the clinical operations of outpatient orthopaedics. In 2019, they joined Nexera, Inc. as the Director of Value Analysis.

James Chambers began their education at Saint Joseph's School of Nursing from 1992 to 1994, where they obtained an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. James then attended the University of Rochester School of Nursing from 2005 to 2007, earning a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.

In 2008, James completed their education at the University of Rochester School of Nursing, obtaining a Bachelor of Nursing degree. James later pursued a Master's degree in medical management at the University of Rochester - Simon Business School from 2011 to 2012.

Aside from their formal education, James also holds several certifications. In August 2011, they obtained a Nurse Executive certification, although the institution where it was obtained is unknown. James also became an ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Instructor in July 2013 through the American Heart Association (AHA). Lastly, in February 2014, James acquired the EPIC Anesthesia certification from Epic.
