Our work centers on plant stress signaling, energy allocation, and soil–plant system dynamics. Under stress, plants often misallocate energy, shifting resources away from roots, nutrient uptake, and productive growth.

We study how these allocation decisions are triggered, how they persist, and how they influence outcomes across agricultural systems.

This includes interactions between:

• Root systems and rhizosphere biology
• Microbial activity and carbon flow
• Environmental stress and plant signaling
