Stan Akers has worked in the manufacturing industry since 2008. In 2008, they began working as a Contract CNC Programmer. In 2009, they moved on to become a Technician Specialist (CNC programming and machining) at Lockheed Martin. In 2010, they became an R&D Machinist CNC Programmer and Prototype Machine Design Tech at Wright & McGill Co. / Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle / Lazer TroKar. In 2012, they began working as a CNC programmer at Mackay MFG Co. In 2014, they became a Manufacturing Applications Engineer, CNC & CAM Specialist at PacifiCAD Inc. In 2015, they started working as an Applications Engineer, CNC Programmer, and MFG Consultant at Next Level CNC Solutions/Cadable/NextGenCAM. In 2016, they became a CNC Programmer at Bowman MFG North West. In 2017, they moved on to become a CNC MFG Engineer/CNC Programmer at Unitech Aerospace. Finally, in 2018, they began leading a team of technical professionals as the Technical Solutions Manager & CAD/CAM Applications Specialist for Autodesk's Elite MFG Solutions at NexGenCAM.
Stan Akers has 24 years of on the job training applying top level manufacturing technology. Stan also holds a Certificate in CNC MFG from Sierra College CNC Manufacturing Tech Program. Stan has obtained several certifications, including Autodesk Certified - Powermill, Powershape, Inventor, Fusion 360 from Autodesk in 2018, Inventor from Adam Forney,PacifiCAD INC in 2015, Autodesk Vault from Cole Sekedat, PacifiCAD INC in 2014, Vericut from Dave Hendricks, CG Tech in 2013, SolidWorks from Adam Benson, Quest Integration in 2013, and Autodesk Certified Instructor from Autodesk Certified Instructor Program in 2020.
