David Johnston

David Johnston is a seasoned Principal Product Engineer at Nexperia since November 2015, with extensive experience in product characterization, industrialization, volume ramp-up, sustaining product manufacturing, and product quality. Prior to Nexperia, David served as a Senior Product Engineer at Dialog Semiconductors, specializing in new integrated circuit product introduction and industrialization, and at NXP Semiconductors, focusing on automotive CAN transceivers with an emphasis on yield optimization and test program fine-tuning. Early career roles included Senior Product Engineer at ST-Ericsson, where David worked on a variety of semiconductor devices, including power management and FM radio units, and began as a Senior Product Engineer at Philips' wafer fab. David holds a diploma in Electronics Technology with a focus on Microelectronics and an Electronics Technician diploma from St. Lawrence College.
